Anita Chadwick was born in Hull and educated at Wolfreton School she was always interested in
display and art especially drawing and needlework.
Travelling on boardship with her merchant navy
husband she developed an interest in all craft work especially needlework she later completed a
3year City&Guilds qualification in
Design Embroidery at Hull College.
A member of the Embroiderers Guild she studied hand and machine embroidery with Jenny Barson a local textile artist and as a garden enthusiast she studied at Bishop Barton College for the
R.H.S.level 2 in horticulture,
after becoming qualified she worked for Swanland nurseries for almost 5 years doing floral display work, planted arrangements and garden design, the love of plants led to her passion for botanical art completely self taught she embarked on a botanical course through text books one of which was run by the Eden Project in Cornwall
